Good. So we hear it go VRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOM tomorrow ?
again, vid is required![]()
Good luck!
Some of the valve seals are wrecked, so I'm going to replace those. However, I don't have the spark plug air adapter so I won't be able to get it running until tomorrow at the earliest. Always something.![]()
Worst case, use some para cord in the spark plug hole. Just get it to the bottom of the intake stroke or whatever, jam as much rope in there as possible and hand turn it to the compression stroke until it gets hard to turn. and take the spring off. I don't like air, you drop that valve somehow you are screwed.
Changed all the valve seals. Got the rest of the valvetrain (pushrods, rockers etc.) assembled and torqued. I turned my motor over by hand and it is turning over WAY easier than before. No binding or strange sounds. All the valves are opening how they should. LIM is ready to go on. Can't wait to get this done.
Sometimes the air likes to push the piston down.
The anticipation is killing me!!!
damn, that sucks.
If the valve seals were smashed, then that means the rocker is smashing the retainer all the way to the bottom, right? Thinking that through would mean the cam is higher lift than you think it is, the lifter is longer than it should be, the pushrod is longer than it should be or the ratio of the rocker is higher. I can't think of any other way this could happen. Any chance one of those parts are not the right ones?
