If it is tied into the domelight that is why it had so many problems going off. I have to fix other best buy's installers mistakes on 3800 cars all the time. Our cars are very special cars and are actually easier to install on then most, but also very different than a lot of other ones out there.

That's what I'd prefer to do. Any idea what a shop will charge for turning it back on? I assume it won't take too much work, maybe an hour. Or at least that's all I hope it will take. It's the bottom of the list of things that I have to get fixed on the GP.

well best buy would just charge custom labor which is about 70 dollars per hour, however most of the time if they have a good car audio senior (like me, haha) we will discount that down around half that to gain return customers. I would get the door triggers put on right and have them reprogram it for you, as the alarm really doesn't get turned on just powered up and programmed.

Alarm/remote starts aren't super hard to install, but they are really in depth installs, it shouldn't take more than 2 hours for a decent installer to troubleshoot anything as the install itself is only 4 hours or less.

Darn, too bad I'm not close to IL. Via Viper's website, I found two places close to me. I called one and I just have to set up an "appointment" to bring it in. I didn't think it would take that long; I just don't want to go there and the person say, "yeah, this alarm is broken. You're gonna need a whole new system." If he does that, I'll just have him rip it out and I'll leave. I think that as long as I go in there and I'm friendly, it shouldn't be too painful.
