Yes there is a code on the trunk lid for the alram but i am not sure what it is. Your best bet is to go to the dealer and ask for an rpo code print out. What that is it takes the codes for the features your car has and breaks them down into a print out so you will know what your car has and doesnt have.

Thanks. I then went on to try something novel - do a google search on RPO codes. First result? The website RPO Codes.com- GM option codes,GM rpo codes,Regular Production Options,General Motors options gave me what I wanted:

AU0 : LOCK CONTROL, REMOTE ENTRY – KEYLESS ENTRY (DOMESTIC)
and
UA6 : THEFT DETERENT SYS

My car has both, which I guess means it has remote entry and a built in alarm. Not all the RPO codes were listed on the site, and some of them were wrong. It says the L36 engine is "427 CU. IN. ENGINE – 390HP."

I can still do it for the handful of codes that aren't listed, when I go ask for the cost of "reprogramming" the car with the factory system.
