AU0 : LOCK CONTROL, REMOTE ENTRY – KEYLESS ENTRY (DOMESTIC)
    and
    UA6 : THEFT DETERENT SYS

My car has both, which I guess means it has remote entry and a built in alarm. Not all the RPO codes were listed on the site, and some of them were wrong. It says the L36 engine is "427 CU. IN. ENGINE – 390HP."

I can still do it for the handful of codes that aren't listed, when I go ask for the cost of "reprogramming" the car with the factory system.

you shouldnt have to have anything "reprogrammed"

if its anything like my car, the aftermarket alarm is totally independent of the factory system. if i use the factory fob's, then the factory alarm is activated, and locks the doors.

i would guess that you just need a fob, and program it (programming steps i think are even in the manual, if they're not, ive got them cataloged here somewhere)

what are the fobs from that you have? we can see if they're compatible...

the dealer is gonna charge you at least an hours labor just to learn them to the car, id guess

The fob I have is from my '00 Impala. I'm fairly confident that cars made in the same plant, same model year, will be OK. But I thought programming them the first time required that you at least have one. I don't have anything other than the aftermarket ones. I can take another look at the manual to confirm this, though.
