mine is better... 4" metal tubing with a nice mandrel bend and filter slapped on the end.
Yay for a filter that filters worse than stock, and most cant oil it with out ruining their maf. Dry flow FTW
Then it'd super heat by the crossover.

measured 2.5 mpg increase, better throttle response, increased noise (not neccesarily a bad thing)[/QUOTE]
Did you buy a universal pipe and filter? That kinda looks like the one I bought for my old acura legend I used to have. At any rate, looks great. Has anyone tried one of those universal kits from pep boys? The one I had only cost like 40 bucks and worked great.

The cone is from Spectre, the pipe is a 45* bend polished aluminum 4" diameter IIRC piece from Polished Aluminum Tubing BoostController.com (where I originally got tubing to make custom fork covers for my bike), and the connector is a rubber plumbing coupler with a stainless steel cover and worm drive clamps from Home Depot.
now finish the project by making it a cold air intake
I had asetup like this and was told by many 3800 people the using 3 inch piping was hurting power and that with GTP you should run 4 inch piping with no questions. Is there any truth to that because it looks great but I don't want to lose power.
measure it?
