Finally broke out of my stump. Weighed in this morning at 289.6lbs. I'd been stuck at 292 for 3 weeks. First time I've been in the 280's since probably a year after highschool. Pretty stoked to see the 280's and it makes my goal seem that much closer and reachable. I'll also post up the first photo I've been comfortable taking in a long time with my shirt off.

Holding off on the gym kinda for the girlfriend. Because we all know as a guy, I'll drop weight quicker than she can.
Doing Atkins meanwhile and ... well already lost about 5lbs in a week. ;) May hit the gym tonight, once I get there...it'll be 1,000 calories per day and visiting nearly every day.

I've been training myself for weeks!
...to get up early enough to exercise before work. Turns out, it takes me about two weeks of getting up early before I don't fall back asleep.
Anyway, now I'm running, swinging kettlebells, and rocking some situps before work. Oh god, I forgot how to use my lungs like that. But it feels great. Trying to train up for one of those muddy obstacle course 5K deals... a girl asked me to come watch her do it. Pfff, like I'm the spectator type. Any excuse to train is a good one to me (seriously, I can't believe how my body's degraded in the past couple years... I used to be able to run a 5k... just moved up to two 1/2 miles with a 30 second walk-break between.... eeesh).

Still dropping and loving it. Weighed in this morning at 283lbs. For a grand total of 35lbs since December. Really wanting to know what my Body Fat % is now.
Back in the beginning of January at 312lbs it was 44%. I'm well into the 3x% now but still got another month before I can find out. I've packed on a good bit of muscle since then as well so I should be doing pretty good. Still cant do pull ups but i can lock myself in place all day long.
My bench has gone up 50lbs, couldn't even bust 185lbs more than twice when i started and i'm doing 225lbs decently easy. Haven't tried anything over 235lbs

If your hitting the gym you'll need more than that. I was at 1500 a day for a couple weeks and stalled out bad, my workouts were horrible cause I didn't have the energy. I'm eating right at 2,000 a day right now and could still go up and still lose weight with my activity level now.

sorry..I meant burning 1,000 a day. I hop on a Precor 100i and cruise pretty well. One hour plus the 5 min cooldown typically nets me right about 1,000 calories burned.

i have been busy doing other things after work and havent had time to get to the gym. i went once last week and it looks like i wont make it this week unless i go on saturday (unlikely).

I started my thing awhile back before this thread was posted I think anyways... it was about sept when I started eating diffrent went with just that for awhile since im not an inactive person at all. Just kept changing the way I eat then in late dec I completly cut out all pop and caffine or pop like things and made sure where ever I was I had a bottle of water with me which made probablly the biggest differences of all once I got use to it.
I also started weight training and running. The weights were easy because growing up on a farm you get some muscles even if you can't see them, the running on the other hand... ehhh never was good at running in my life never but I kept with it and kept trying and then one day I went to run and I was like wtf I been out here for awhile and I feel fine was able to keep running foe a long while and even when I stoped it wasn't because I couldnt give it anymore It was just cause I had other stuff to do so when I got inside I looked at the clock and found out I was running for over an hour straight.... when literally a week before 20 mins was the best I could do without dieing I guess I just finally found my pace or something but now I run between 3-4 miles everyday but all and all I weighed between 200-210 in sept and I currently weigh 150-155 which I never thought I needed to lose that much before but whats driving me crazy is these last few pounds I can taste the victory but its just out of my reach it seems

This is part of why I started throwing in some morning runs... way easier on my schedule to just get up an hour early.

JAN 21st (Day i left to start training for Iraq) 218lbs and like 22% body fat.
Fast Forward to today in Iraq (4/14/2011) 198lbs and 18% body fat.
Lean Protien and cardio ftw

Every guy I talk to that's in great shape tells me the same thing: Diet's the most important thing about how he got there. Eating clean is "as important" - or from what these guys tell me - more important than the exercise. I stumbled across a pretty nice low carb food pyramid today. Thought it was pretty cool. For those that don't know how a pyramid works, you eat more of the stuff at the bottom and less of the things on top.

Gotta get in there man. Once a week won't do anything for you. I'm down to three times a week now and losing results.

i completely agree, but ive been attempting to get things done on my car and around the house instead which at this point is more important to me.
