I used to have that problem on my 91 park ave when I tried solid metal lower trans mount. However I had a leak just like that and couldn't figure it till I went to check the tourqe on the bolts afterwards never had a leak.plus while you're at it you can change that lower mount you've been needing to change.
Yea I know I need to change it. I want a solid one or something better than stock. But I guess if I decide to do LCA's then I'll do that then. Will a wrench not fit in there
what bolt are we talking about here? pic marines?
Everything seems fine other than the leak
No its a little more than a shimmy. If I let go of the steering wheel its about an inch side to side back and forth during those speeds
so maybe mine is in he early stages of this problem, mine is slight back and fourth, car drives straight as an arrown though
Yup. I really hope its not the steering intermediate shaft as those are a pain to replace
wasnt there a gear in there that goes bad? i rember my 97 having it replaced on recall becasue of someting. Not the issue here though
No the shaft doesn't have gears. Its like a drive shaft on a jeep sorta with the way its designed
I dunno I got to figure out how to check it
