i did. read every post. as i said , i seen a bunch of different opinions and people discrediting the dyno data. you'd think for as long as these engines have been around that by now, someone would have solid indisputable evidence to put the debate to rest. i'm just gonna slap a 9 inch cone on a piece of pvc and see what happens .

k Bro. It's all opinion based, just like everything when it comes to modding a vehicle.

    - Some people prefer to gut the air box to keep the stock look but a little better efficiency.
    - Some people just do it to hear the whine of the blower and slap a filter on the TB because they give no sh1ts.
    - Some people put some PVC piping or some kind of "intake tubing" for a little neater look, but still budget friendly.
    - Some people spend the coin and get a "True CAI" with a box, mainly just for looks, as a dyno sheet has shown there is absolutely zero gain between a CAI and HAI since the Eaton Blower is just a massive heat pump anyways.

Opinions are typically going to always differ between people. Welcome to life.

Just choose whatever floats your boat and go with it. Not that difficult.

How does someone do this? I would much rather do this than potentially messing up my mass air flow sensor. What exactly do you take out and does it involve any cutting?

Just to add on this a slight caveat, since this is a FI (forced induction) car, you just want to get the air in and out as efficiently as possible, HAI or CAI will work, the real part to focus on is cooling down the air AFTER it is brought in and compressed through the supercharger, if you can get the most amount of air the blower will handle and then cool it BEFORE entering the Combustion chamber then you have made efficient use of your blower. Same concept with a turbo and intercooler, most of the reason a lot of guys I know run screens on their turbos and not filters.

Slight edit, I would say if you could also cool the air inside the blower that would be even better. Just the little things to consider.
