Nope parked.. Expired tags in the trunk haha. Didn't want to reregister and throw insurance on it until it's driveable.. Which it is sort of but the noise has me rethinking.

I'm a bit confused. What is so bad in that PB vid? Except..I don't see oil on the rockers..and I'd expect them to be slinging it all over.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I had an issue with the top end of the engine not getting oil. Amongst other issues, turns out the oil pump gear and housing was all grooved up from grit passing through it. After that happens, it cannot build the pressure necessary to pick up the oil from the oil pan. I also think the oil regulator/spring was stuck. I have some picks in my thread if you link to my profile.

Hmm they all seem to be fine and they pretty much brand new replaced them not to long ago. The question is what will BB do I'm sure there's a simple way to figure this out.

Well.. if you were BB, you'd have pulled out your mechanics stethescope and you'd know exactly where that noise is coming from. Since you aren't BB, you probably are on your way to the store.

Yea and still nothing. I held the stethoscope up to each cylinder where the header meets the head and the noise is constant throughout each one I then did the same thing but held it on the header instead and same results.

Quick update before I get to drunk and forget. I worked on it a bit today and decided to throw some motor medic in the oil before I changed it. Let it idle for 7 mins. Changed the oil/filter noise remains.

Now i was getting this noise before I changed the lifters and had a massive exhaust leak so I decided to fix both issues. New lifters were soaked in oil for a few days prior to me replacing. I checked the pushrods/ rockers before I threw them back in and they appeared to be fine and rockers were torqued down properly. With the vc removed I can't seem to pin point where exactly it's coming from. The valve springs seem to be ok. I haven't went as far as removing them just yet. No cel except for a abs issue and a P0650.

Edit: dawned on me that I should measure and make sure I have the correct pushrod length since it seems some guys have problems using the stock pushrods with ls7 lifters... Duoh
