WAY easier to install and will perform the nearly the same. they cost about double the price as SSAC though.

i run S&S because they are a hella well built header and it took me a very short amount of time to install them compared to the TOGs i had before them. i wont even consider buying a set of slip fit headers.

Mike at the W-body store told me via email the follow regarding S&S Headers

Hi David. They will fit however there are better options for less money. You should take a look at the Pacesetter headers we offer which include a full bolt-in downpipe and are less money.

I ask him "I was trying to stay away from the they are 3 piece, slip fit (i.e Pacesetters, SSAC) the S & S are two piece, and use a donut gasket. The S & S headers include the weld-in downpipe w/ flex joint!

S & S are far better quality, do you disagree with this? "

I wouldn't say they are far better quality but they are better quality. As long as a header fits and it doesn't leak it's fine. The Pacesetters don't have leaking problems if basic care is taken when installing them. We don't carry the S&S anymore because you can now get a smaller primary Pacesetter. The demand just wasn't there unfortunately.

Lol it sounds like he's just trying to get you to buy pacesetters from his store, S&S header's being not that much better quality my ass. Any header that you have to weld to get it to seal, I would not call quality lol.

But anyway to be honest SSAC headers aren't all that bad, they are stainless steel SLP knockoffs at a damn good price. My only suggestion with these headers would be to replace to replace the flex section that comes with them with a ZZP interlock flex section.

    Yes it seems so..

So I am between S&S or SSAC. S&S would cost 500+ I believe and SSAC 300

Is there any real big differnce besides price?

    WHat do you think

I've got no problem buying pacesetters. As long as you use band clamps and decent gaskets they seem to install fine.

I got a set of the XS-Power (Racer-Union) they work great. But install was a PITA we had to weld the collector onto the rear header and x-over, and install it as one piece. Had to pull master cylinder, throttle body and egr heat sheild. Took about 8 hours. Not bad headers just a pain to install.

    pacesetters are like...3 piece.

2 piece S&S = front header w/crossover and rear header. downpipe doesnt count.

pacerusters. haha!! that they are, all my paint melted off in the first 15 mins of start up. o well i might take them off this summer and get them coated and welded and never worry about them again.

would the egr get in the way with it all being welded??
