One of the problems that people have with TOG's is that during a batch (the first batch under the new ownership i believe) the flange on the rear header that connects to the crossover can be a little bit awkward. I had some issues with that, as did the guy that I bought my TOG's from.
    Here's one guy's solution.....
I'm told that TOG updated the design and all of the recent batches have been perfectly fine.

Also - I know that alot of people have issues with the trans dipstick, but for those of you with the '04-'05 Monte Carlo and Impala SS's, I think they updated the dipstick style for the L67 for those years and it fits just fine. I didn't have to bend mine and it isn't touching anything (or even close to doing so). Other guys with the '04-'05 L67 have said the same thing (most of them had actually bought the pre-bent dipstick tube beforehand and realized it matched theirs exactly)
In fact, I heard a rumor that the "pre-bent" dipstick tube that some vendors sell is actually an OEM part that came exactly that way.

is there anything i should look out for on a used set of gen1 coated TOG's?

sweet deal on the trans dipstick lol! i checked it out yesterday while i was changing my motor oil, & it does look like the pre-bent one on zzp!

check out the flanges. if the owner before you tightened the headers down too much the flanges will end up 'ovaling' out instead of being circular. this will make it harder to seal them unless you can bend them back in a vise or something of the like.

Aside from the flanges, just check to make sure that they're not too dinged up or bent. Big dents and whatnot can really affect flow.

The only thing that I would have changed about the TOG's (which is actually an easy fix) is to weld the bolts into the rear crossover so that they are more like studs. They can be a pain in the ass to tighten even with two people.

It seems that most of the header vendors I have contacted, they are unsure if their headers will fit on a 2007 SC GP GT. They said they have never had anyone put heades on such a late model GP.

    Whats up with that crap.

Anyone have suggestions I am all ears...

Should be the same thing...I don't think anything is THAT much different exhaust wise on the SeriesIII vs. the SeriesII.

You can always try it out...buy them and send em back LOL

I have Pacesetter's...for the price you can't *****. They are kinda hard to seal but I can't being myself to spend 800+ bucks on headers...$500 is enough for me...I'll save the other $300 and ***** and moan about the Pacerusters.

On the other hand you can get some TOG's/SLP's/S&S/ZZP Headers and pay a lot more but you get better install quality and fitment

S&S are the cheapest of the expensive headers. everyone claims that the smaller primaries arent perfect for a supercharged application but i think they suck at life. my car loves these things.

SS auto webpage states Primary is 1-3/4" with 3" down pipe

What are most of the other headers primary size

S&S are not the same as SSAutochrome as i just stated.

    these are S&S:

they are two piece, use a donut gasket, have smaller primaries, and have a 2.5" collector.

    these are SSAutochrome/Pacesetters/SLP:

they are 3 piece, slip fit, larger primaries, and 3" collector.

    get it?

So the SS auto chromes offer more breathability with larger prim and DP
So SSAC would be a better choice ?

larger primaries can make more hp but lose some torque. then smaller primaries make more torque but not as much hp. there is not really that much of difference. main thing is install quality
