So I have a 2006 Grand Prix GXP. The bolt holes on the top of the front bumper on the passenger side have been broken, I'm guessing the previous owner or owner before that had probably bumped into a pole or something of the like and broke them. Because these are broken the line between the bumper and the hood when the hood is closed it not aligned correctly (the passenger side of the bumper sits slightly farther forward than the driver side).

I was wanting to get some input on how to either fix these holes or just simply secure this bumper back into its correct position.

I was thinking about honestly just pushing the bumper back, holding it, and then just drilling a couple new holes with self tapping screws and calling it a day (I mean, you don't even see the area since its under the hood). Is this a bad idea? Or would this work?

I attached pics of both the driver side (bolt holes in good shape) and passenger side.
