im saying they are cheap bc they are 200 dollars. I run Pacesetters the next best thing haha lol But Seriously i thought they drop down pretty low near the downpipe? and if your lowered that it was a problem?

    They are cheap, yes.

    Do they work well? Yes.

Should you search for the various Speed Daddy header threads? Yes (there are probably over 100 by now)

As long as you take your time, use good band clamps, and stock gaskets, you wont have any leaks.

No, they do not rust, yes they fit fine.

I'm dropped just over 2 inches and the only time I've ever scraped my downpipe (on the speed daddys) is going over stupidly high speedbumps.

Yea they have a retarded ubend design but it's doesn't take much to fix that. Plus if your at stock height your fine. Realize it's a old platform and parts have become rather cheap if you want to blow $600 on headers then be me guest but I as well as others will laugh when our $200 headers perform just as well. There's a reason why SD are recommended left and right and yea if you do a search you will find more information then you'll ever need. Seriously stop being lazy and search!

Alright haha, fair enough. What about pacesetters? I can pick up a set for 150. And will all of these headers fit an 05?

There's no difference in our headers from 97-08. Searching pacesetters on here you will find a thread from BlueGtp on how to fix there leaking issues.

Shift kit and maybe a trans cooler. But nothing else really that matters.

Well considering that guys blow their trannies in stock form yea there's a chance you may have to service it it's one of the things that you gotta be aware of and just be prepared for when or if it happens. Meanwhile a shift kit and pan drop isn't a bad idea and obviously the way you drive it can prolong you having to repair it.

#1. A trans cooler is not needed.
#2. A cam build will max out the stock trans.
#3. Driving habits will determine if it breaks and how long till it breaks.

I've heard the shift kit is fairly easy to install, does it help that much? I'm not really on it much, though I would assume I will be a little more with the extra power.

It helps more so when you get on it. So that would be your call. Makes shifts either quicker, snappier or combo of both.

So I heard today that I need to remove my balance shaft to put a double roller on with this install, is that the case?
