To start off I have a 2008 Grand Prix SE. I do not have the steering wheel controls, HUD, sunroof, monsoon system, sirius ready radio, or onstar.

I am wanting to remove the stock radio and install an aftermarket head unit. No subs or anything like that.

Do I need to just buy a dash kit and wire harness or is there some other fancy harnesses I need? Any links to some a harness that will work?

    Thanks.

installation kit, wiring harness and that's about it maybe some butt connectors if you dont already have them. you dont need another harness because you dont have steering wheel controls

I'm not getting a double din so maybe I wont need an antenna adapter?

That's what I'm afraid of..not getting the same amount of bass. Hopefully not. I don't want much bass as I have kids...but just enough to sound good and not so plain lol.

Still need the antenna adapter...GM used a stupid small antenna cable that needs to be adapted to a larger size.

yeah youll need an antenna adapter. The sound will be more clear/crisper/louder but the bass will be not as good.

    Yes an 08 SE..why?

And I've decided I'm probably not going to install an aftermarket HU. I was going to because my 2 out of 3 bulbs for the radio are burnt out and I'm to lazy to fix them so I'll just deal with it for now lol
