Over in Europe...yup...
I just made my mom some insane good bars that i found on the recipe on the internet... just realized she can't have them cause shes gluten intolerant... ****!!!!&#@()@)$**$Q(*&(%*&
All right, I'll just say it... the whole gluten-free thing is completely lost on me. I hear about it everywhere, I hear about an increasing number of people who can't eat gluten...
How is this any different from rBST, trans fats, or peanut allergies (the latter of which I never remember hearing about growing up as a kid, but now it's everywhere)?
funny, my mom too. i had best not get/have that. i like wheat flour. rice flour sucks, so does potato flour. its just not the same.
my mom has found out over the years now that she can eat gluten but it cant be days on end. if she looks at it like a treat, and cheats once in a while its all good.
well my mom got diagnosed a while ago and therefor she doesn't cook anything cause why would she cook if she can't enjoy it too.. makes sense.. but what she has is what they call celiac disease... heres a link just cause i feel like a good guy today..

my mom 'cheats' too once and while and i think she's fine. she isn't terribly allergic.. my best friends mom tho.. she can't even touch it without breaking out.. that'd suck.. but scotty said it right with the larg inst. and stuff.. it breaks off the cilia or whatever in your intestine and you can't absorb nutrient.
my moms got the same crap. she can cook good food still. you just cant eat wheat really.
all meats are fine, beans, potatoes, rice. and most dark chocolate is gluten free too.
you really loose the great world of deserts, lets face it, whats cake made of? cups of flour, hell even donuts, anything good.
I love women, but I cannot stand to date them. Does that make me nuts?
