So. I was told in the interview I'd know by the end of the week if I got the job. Well I come to work today expecting to find out something and my manager said I won't find out till Monday.
My manager said she called the hr person (who happens to be her friend) and they were chit chattin and laughin and what not about how anxious I was for the interview and all that and yeah. She took a vacation day today. -_-

    Playin with my damn emotions.

And Brando, my sister had an interview for a teaching position and for the second part of the interview, which not many get a chance to do, she had to give a lesson to some of the staff like it was a real lesson. And they tore her apart lol. She thought for sure she was not going to get the job, but she did. Long story short, if they're messing with you then it is probably good news.

Today I went to get the electric sander out of my basement for a project I am doing and saw water laying on the bottom step outside the door. Instant thought is "This isn't good." Pushed the door open to find 8 inches of water throughout the basement.

Called the landlord, he showed up with a couple different sump pumps and started getting it drained. Once we got so low he had to switch to a different pump and we realized water is still coming in from somewhere. Its not severe but its still coming in. Even though there isn't any real standing water I still have the pump running and its constantly pumping water out. Looks like its seeping in around the foundation.

Had I not found it when I did there is a possibility I would have had well over a foot of water down there.

yeah, no news is usually good news. and I would think that if it was a no they wouldn't drag it out this long.

    lolz that's funny.

but you know guys... I think the decision was made prior to the interview. because my supervisor did a lot of talking to the hiring person before I ever interviewed, she is really pulling for me. so I think the interview was more of a formality, which might explain why the interview was so...loosely conducted.

That's usually how it goes. The decision is almost always known beforehand. Especially if the people involved with choosing to hire already know one of the people applying. My sister had been subbing at the school for years and knew everyone that worked there. Helps to have your foot in the door.
