It takes time to do those things and do them right. We took on another company and had to adjust all of our work instructions to include theirs and one standard format. That took over a year.

Was a good day or work. Hung lots of ductwork only 2 minor cuts. Home, changed and pooped by 5:15. Not bad. Not bad at all.
When did you get off? If you got off at 5 i'll be a jealous SOB. Wish I could get home change and **** 15 minutes later lol
Left the shop about 4:45-5
tin knocker work, yup you'll need a first aid kit handy.
and dont make holes in the roofs, you'll piss off the roofer lol i hated you guys for years and years. always making leaks.
tomorrow were doing a roof vented range hood
but i actually care about more than my part of the job, so dont worry LOL
one of the cuts today was actually screw slipping off the duct and screw bit jamming into my finger, nice blood blister that immediately exploded LOL
first week was bad for cuts, now im getting the tricks down to avoid em, and the tougher skin helps too.
i cant tell you how many times i've stabbed my self with a screw gun bit lol that hurts like a &*^%# lol
when i first started doing metal work for roofing, copping tops and metal edge. i used to get cut up now and then. once you learn where NOT to put your fingers or not try to work to fast, you'll stop bleeding all over your work lol
dried blood on new copper looks so cool lol dont miss those days at all.
hey, and use membrane to do a proper roof repairs, cement alone does jack 1 week later lol (and thicker is not better) i used to teach the hvac guys how to fix the roof behind them, as i worked with the same crews all the time. heres a roll of membrane now use it damn it !!!! lol
problem with most hvac guys is they wear the cement, they hate that stuff lol got to learn how to work clean, when its hot, that stuff can fly...
i worked in a metal shop for the last 2 years.. cutting and punching and cornering aluminium for street signs.. actually don't mind metal work.. its just when i have have to make 2000 right of way signs.....
