Something I've noticed lately after redoing my coolant system. Car runs hotter. Stays around 203-210. Before it stayed around 192-199. My fans are set to kick on full at 197. But even going down highway it stays at 210-208. I put a new thermostat in. Same stock replacement.

Stock one. Shouldn't be that. Didn't have this problem till coolant flush

Shouldn't be anymore. 300 miles and counting since flush. Also after flush left rad cap off and heat on high for 30-40 minutes while topping off as needed.

Time for more pics of the coolant lines I rerouted with custom ones. Really cleaned up the engine bay getting rid of the bracket and metal coolant lines.
This is the bracket that's sole purpose in life was holding the metal coolant lines.
No coolant lines over top of headers any more.
Yes there's a random stock hose clamp on there that has no purpose.

I mean all my wiring is in loom. Eventually I'll have LS performance wiring build me a custom harness to relocate the computer inside and all. But not till after this next deployment.

Yes. But I haven't spent much of my last deployments money on the car lol. But a custom built harness for my car where engine computer and trans comp go inside the car is about 4-600 bucks.

so when doing cold starts i started noticing this noise

almost starting to think its the harmonic balancer. but i'm going to pull the serp belt off and see if the noise is still there or not. goes away when engine warms up but came back for a few seconds after i did a WOT pull x4.
did this yesterday. weight reduction plus made a block off plate for my transmission cooler. for those of you that think i don't need the cover for the cooler....my tranny barely gets up to 120 during the winter and around 140 during summer. until i get a built tranny with higher stall this cooler is a bit over kill.
and cut this in half. through the bottom half away.
warmest my tranny has gotten in months
and after i reran all my headlight wiring through the front bumper support i found out why one of my 6 low beams wasn't working.
and retrofitsource.com sent me a replacement one of these 2 months ago but didn't replace the wiring part of things. well this is what happened due to them not replacing the wiring as well. as$ holes
