i would imagine the lighter weight of the car as well as the low miles will work very much in your favor and you should be fine for awhile on the stock trans, btw any idea how much it weighs?

Most people that do these swamps with minor weight reduction( spare tire, etc) run about 2650 dry curb weight, I weigh a solid 225, gas weighs about 7lb a gallon. I was hoping the same thing, when I am completely done with it I want to run it down the strip a couple times, then honestly as much as I love the car, it may then immediately go on the market. My step dad and I are wanting to build a fox body stang, and realistically only have room in the shop for one car... SHE says no yard ornaments, so yeah

My car is a bit over 3000lbs and its a base base coupe with some good weight reduction (interior/dash/front end/AC/trunk) with light wheels on it.

Assuming you weighed it with yourself, and fuel in the tank, that would fall right around what I said, I'm sure you turbo setup is an extra 100 pounds too.

I like the exhaust and the diamond plate side covers!
Yeah I am on FZ1 forums, and that is my other baby, an 03 Gen I FZ1, I got it last spring and have put over 10,000 miles on it so far. I am debating going to a GenII, but reallllly love the new crossplane R1's. we will see what this summer brings!

GenII's are nice, R1's are even sweeter. I sold my 01' a while back and picked up and restored a 97' YZF1000R. It's a one year only sweetheart of a ride. Keep up the good work!

    No.

3170 with me in it ( I am 170). Fuel was less than half tank, turbo setup is as heavy as a m90 is.

Fieros are heavy. It drives me crazy that everyone seems to think they are sub 2500lbs without issue.
