ya ive seen those. just still feel uncertain about it. mainly just need pan gasket n a scuffing pad. but lets not get off topic from the fiero. My co worker too is building a fiero that he's been at for a while. I think he wants to put an l67 in it. Would be nice to see one of these bad boys in person.

I have never been inside a transmission before, so I will be referencing from a guide I found somewhere, I will have to re-find it and link you to it, if I am not mistaken it was by billboost...but dont quote me on that.

I have heard if you increase line pressure on the trans for shifts you aren't suppose to combine that with a shift kit. Is this true or false?

im sure there would be a happy middle of the road if you tuned line pressure and used a shift kit.

upping line pressure via tune is almost the same as a shift kit. the same results are achieved.

Wow, I just finished reading through the entire thread. Excellent project and super work on the motor! Can't wait to see it all back together and running. Aside from the Fiero, I see you have a nice GenI. Do you belong to any FZ1 Forums?? I'm over at FZ1-Forum International.

Assuming you weighed it with yourself, and fuel in the tank, that would fall right around what I said, I'm sure you turbo setup is an extra 100 pounds too.

Yeah I am on FZ1 forums, and that is my other baby, an 03 Gen I FZ1, I got it last spring and have put over 10,000 miles on it so far. I am debating going to a GenII, but reallllly love the new crossplane R1's. we will see what this summer brings!

GenII's are nice, R1's are even sweeter. I sold my 01' a while back and picked up and restored a 97' YZF1000R. It's a one year only sweetheart of a ride. Keep up the good work!

    No.

3170 with me in it ( I am 170). Fuel was less than half tank, turbo setup is as heavy as a m90 is.

Fieros are heavy. It drives me crazy that everyone seems to think they are sub 2500lbs without issue.

Now that fieros are coming out as being fat little pigs, I no longer want to do one.

I would have to say that is still a solid 500+ pounds less than any standard 3.8L platform, and you all are forgetting the biggest part MID ENGINE... loss of traction at launch? Whats that?
On another note, I have been doing some remodeling in the shop, and unable to do any work on the car recently, but today after work I helped a friend of mine install a new 3" turbo-back side pipe exhaust on his 04' SRT-4. It sounds really nice! and I am not a fan of neons or dodges for that matter..
    Here is the car before.

    The new exhaust

    Installed

Then of course a fly-by video!
