Tell him its a dumb idea and will likely ruin his car and you'll hate your life trying to get it right.
Not something that a novice should try, requires alot more than you really think. Slapping parts together is one thing, have the knowledge to make it run correctly is another and that where everyone gets in over their head.
Well that's a no brainer

How would a topswap ruin a car?
Did you read the rest of what I said?
I guess not.
All the damn time do we see threads about people top swapping then asking a million question about this and that. Then you get all the top swap know it all's to chime in and say you need this and that and spend more money and more and more time to figure things out. More often then not it's alot more than anyone can handle, then some take to a dyno shop to get it tuned because they have no idea how to tune a high compression L36 Top swapped car, nor does the dyno place in just about everycase. And rarely do people want to spend 500-650 on a decent tuner and then countless days reading how things work.
No offense OP.
I honestly think you'd have an easier time swapping the entire engine to stock S/C engine. Top swaps utilize the high compression low end with weaker rods, so it needs to be tuned afterwards if you manage to get it all working, and IMO has a higher chance of failure down the line. If you've never done internal engine work before I wouldn't attempt a top swap.
Either engine swap or throw some N/A mods on it and call it a day.
Actually the only diff between l67 and l36 rods is pin spacing
I'll have all the parts you need here shortly and will cut you a good deal on them.
