Both of the above mentioned lights are on. The PO said he replaced the front hub. Is there a way to reset the lights or do I need a scanner ? Im gonna pull the front wheels and check the wiring.

Normally the light will go off if all the hubs are plugged in and working, aswell as the system having no other faults.
I would scan the code to see what bearing or perhaps other faults such as the ABS unit or the module are the problem.
thanks five.. im gonna pull the wheels and take a look. its a bummer having to pay someone to scan it
Autozone/advance can scan it. Not always a speed sensor though, so I'd get it scanned before you start pulling wheels. I have this gremlin myself. Mine only pops up when I go wot and pass 70mph. Most likely a wiring issue. Yours could very well be wiring related to. Check all wires going to hubs and clean connectors, check wiring around abs module too. But yeah, get that code first if you can.
When I was running a steel wheel I had because of a bent rim the tire size was off on that wheel. The ABS and trac light would kick when I hit 60mph.
To the OP, just because the PO replaced the hub doesn't mean he replaced the right part. I once had an issue with the light randomly kicking and I found a broken wire in the passenger front harness.
These lights reset every time you turn the key to off. If they stay on, then you still have a problem.
Like many other members here, I have had my share of wheel hub issues. When you get a scanner with a code that indicates which wheel is the problem, check all of the wiring and connectors before replacing the hub. On 04+ cars in general, there are places where the wiring can stretch or rub and break, especially going to the front hubs. I've read about several cases where people have replaced front hubs only to have the light come back, and the fix ended up being a new wiring harness.
thanks for the help everyone.. it bugs me to have lights on my dash. Im gonna pull the front wheels and check the wiring and if I don't find anything ill probably go ahead and replace the front hubs on both sides just for my piece of mind and hopefully that fixes it.
Do the rear hubs on these cars have issues on going out as well ?
They can go out, but just because they are bad doesn't mean it will kick the light. I just replaced my rear hub yesterday and the bearing was in very bad shape, yet it did not kick the ABS light.
My 01 was scanned at advance. That's how I found the same code you had Scotty. The one you fixed by pulling a fuse lol.
Advance auto can read ABS codes ?
no auto parts store does a free abs scan. but some newer cars the abs codes can be read on a normal scanner. they cant look up that abs code tho, their pc wont tell them what it is. so you need to take the code and look it up yourself.
you can buy a abs scanner, ot pay at a garage that has a scanner.
I got my abs code for my 01 impala from Autozone. Had to show the guy how to do it though. He did a normal scan and came up with nothing. I showed him the abs menu on the scanner.
most stores here just use the plain jane scanner, like the 20 dollar one i went out and bought.
your store seems to have a good scanner. and yup, most dont know how to use it as simple as it is to use lol
