    Hi Guys,

Original 98 GTP owner her. 100k miles, cherry condition. The car has absolutely gone to sh!t the last two weeks.

coolant leak, replaced elbows - not it, replaced water pump - fixed it, resonator blew up - replaced that[/color]

Now the car will not start.

In the on position the dash gauge lights will not illuminate - the DIC flashes 0 for range/oil and the car cranks but will not start.

    Any comments/help much appreciated. TIA

I'd start by removing and cleaning the battery terminals and all grounds that you can see in the engine bay.

if not that stuff ^^^^ the starter took a crap. try hitting it with a hammer while the key is held to start. if it cranks the starter is bad for sure.

Thanks for he suggestions...bat terminals are good...I cleaned the neg ground closest to the battery...made no diff

as to the starter...the engine cranks real strong..it just won't start...the dash gauge lights not coming on leads me to think it is electrical.

btw, batt is newish/good, ignition switch was changed out a few months ago

    pcm?
    fuses?
    harneses?
    cps?

    tia for any more leads

oh, miss read. you need to see whats missing, fuel or spark.

theres a shrader valve on the fuel rail, take the cap off and push the pin in, gas should spray out. if it dont the fuel pump is bad.

if you have fuel, take a plug wire off the coil and prop it like a inch over the coil above its socket, then crank the engine, a big blue spark should jump to the plug wire. no spark, no spark.

As luck would have it...it has been starting fine the last two days. I have to wait for it to act up and check spark/fuel.

    Thx again.

Check the electrical connections at the coil pack and relay box for signs of damage or corrosion. Maybe even the MAF sensor? I've learned that these cars can have starting issues with a dirty MAF or throttle body
