My down pipe fix. for the ssac and speed daddy headers

I just crush bent a piece of 2.5" to use for now. The degree of the bend is 65*. Right now I have no flange at the rear header, I will probally just drop it out the bottom when I ever need to pull the header. The reason I used 2.5" is because we had some laying around the shop so it was free.

I have no way of welding yours in unless we pull the rear header.

Why the hell did the SD header manufacturer design that U bend in there, anyway? The stock GP U bend protects the O2 sensor, which makes sense.

Its really too bad that a guy has to replace the U bend, replace the flex, buy better quality gaskets, buy different clamps, and still pray that the SD's will work. I guess that is why we say "you get what you pay for".

They were designed like SLP's which also has the u bend. The u bend only needs replaced if you are dropped or dropping.

My flex is fine, my gaskets are fine and I only replaced the 3" clamps. Mine work great. I'm not complaining.

so after reading everything im still confused to as what you all need for speed daddy headers.

If you get em in the mail what are the things you need to buy?
    "band clamps" ,
    ... ,
    ... ,
And so they do have a U-Bend? it doesnt say it as a "con" for SD headers so i was confused.
Sorry still a newb at this header stuff. lol.
I have no idea what to buy, cause they all have problems.

Also.. do i need to buy a dp with cat?
or can i just buy a new highflow cat that can be welded onto the pipe?..
