but that is only HWY, look if GM Ford and DC can make V8's that can get even 20 city mpg of course HWY would be much better, my main point of all of this from the get go is that the price of gas is what crippled the big 3, mainly because of the big engines, yes GM nailed it with the cyl shut down at hwy speeds (so did honda), and the reason why the big 3 jap companies are doing so well and people are switching is because they make fuel efficent (city miles) cars with pretty damn good power, and its impressive, if a 4 cyl can run neck and neck with a v6 or even an 8 with a few modds, that is impressive and i also said the average person, obviously not everyone on here because we are all racer/tuners of course we want a big block at our feet, i for one would love to put a V8 in my GP, and if you showd me two cars, a civic that gets 26/35 and a Mustang V8 that gets 22/29, then i would go with the mustang, that is damn good mileage for a V8 but if the stang had its typical 14/20 then no, times we are in today no,
