The thing is you didn't have a misfire originally when you first started the motor after the top swap correct?

The thing is you didn't have a misfire originally when you first started the motor after the top swap correct?

Well for starters its not like i can feel the misfire and it has never popped up as a real code only as a pending code. It also doesnt pop up right away i cleared the codes 3 times today and each time it took atleast 15 mins to come back.

It's either you have a misfire or you don't it wouldn't show up if you didn't have it

Well ya im just saying its not like the light came on so i have no idea when it first popped up. Im thinking injector what else could it be?

Valve or a hole in the piston I don't think you understand how bad 4° of kr is and what it can do

What would be wrong with the valve?

I'd do a compression check first that'll narrow it down then if that's good I'd get a bore scope and look down the cylinder

Well first im switching the fuel injectors. Keep in mind these are jy injectors thats the cheapest fastest posibilittly here. I lapped all the valves the cylinder was in great condition and ive been getting a shake from the motor ever since first start up. I got money on the injector

So switched injectors around and still getting cylinder 3 missfire.. Also just got a pending code for p0654 which is engine speed output. Any ideas guys?

you might have a beat pcm, being you just changed it.
Would that have anything to do with the missfire?

hard to say really.contact reptile, see what he says about the newest code.
Maybe this could explain why my cel supposedly just went out at the same exact time i did the swap

either that or your cluster is messed up, as per the code list of thinks to check.
the car will run with the cluster removed. theres 4 small bolts that hold it in after you pop the trim off. unplug it, take it out, see if its still acting up.
Well i have to work all day so i wont have much time for that :/ but what do you think about the missfire im pretty sure i have checked everything but the voltage on the injector connector. Everything else is gonna be head or piston failure i believe. *Sighh*

Could it be something easy like a stuck lifter or something on that cylinder or if it was a gasket leak where could it leak from that wouldnt get coolant in my oil or vice versa or affect another cylinder?

You are over complicating the issue like I always do
nothing easy about a stuck lifter, aka thats a dead engine. and you'd hear that. gaskets are fine or you'd know it.
4º of kr is a top swap killer aka hello chipper.
being you got that new code, i suspect the pcm, maybe the cause of it all. after all they are used pcm's with no real history of how they worked in the past.
Hmm maybe i can get reptile to send another. Also noticed something odd driving to work when i let off the gas and coasting to a red light my vaccum goes down to around -22 but then for no reason it will start bouncing inbetween -22 and -15 still coasting with foot off the gas

take the sc belt off put your stock pcm back in, see if it has the same codes pop up. and if the fuel trims head to a normal place.
