Yeah that seems like the case, hopefully. I don't know anyone near me with a 3800 and a call to the local used/junk parts place proved less than fruitful ($225 for a used ICM!). Unfortunately the GT1 I just got is purportedly showing the same symptoms so I can't risk using that one. So I just ordered one from ZZP which is the cheapest I can find plus shipping. If it doesn't work I guess I'll chock it up to something I haven't thought of or a TCC/general transmission issue.
If it ships before I leave for the holidays with any luck I'll report back with good news. Thanks for the help so far!
