Thread: HUD problems

First off, I have a 2004 and I was just installing HUD and got everything wired but I have no up and down or any display out of it. It made adjustment noises when I plugged it in, but when I tried adjusting the height with the switch, no go. And when I plugged it in I could see the mirror moving up and down then stopped

OK...so if u look at it through the windshield its not putting out any light or anything?

And also while looking in it look on the side that's closest to the drivers side of the car, there's a little spring make sure it there and not fallen loose

It's not giving any light. And the spring is still attached

OK next thing. Is this one of GM's HUD's they put in our cars or is it an aftermarket one

It may be aftermarket as it doesn't say acdelco

Can u upload some pics please and I can better help u with it

A picture of the HUD will suffice

it may need to have the light sensor resweated

Like I said, the switch does jack, so I think it may be the switch

If its a GM HUD then even if the switch is disconnected the HUD will still work. I only know this cause mine was disconnected for two weeks

theory should still be the same tho

Pretty sure it's not a common problem for my style

Photocell is not a problem on 04+

Where did you buy the HUD from? Were u told it was working when u got it

I bought it from a member on gpona and no clue as to if it worked beforehand. The switch also doesn't light up

Maybe its not getting any power at all

There is power hooked up
