so i tried to recharge my ac and it will take the fluid but the compressor wont kick on. the clutch moves freely and i checked all the fuses and relays and they seem to be working. does anyone know what might be the issue?

Multiple things could be happening. If you have a bad ground at the PCM and your sys is charged the Compressor will not kick on. If you have a slow leak and the low pressure syl has indicated it it will not kick on. And you could just have a bad pump. You can hotwire the pump to see if it will kick on. I have used 18 gauge wire and aligator clips from the battery to the pump plug in. If it starts blowing cold air you have a good pump and the problem resides elsewhere.
They do make dye kits that you can put in the system and see the leak with UV glasses.
Those are quite expensive though.
I don't do AC i take it somewhere. Last time i had ac problems I ran into electrical bs and it cost me almost 800 bux to fix.
IE hole in condenser, New used pump, new pcm, and charged with gas 3 times.
