So after doing the trans swap after my first 4t65e going, I get everything all hooked up and no crank.

I do not believe that I heard the fuel pump priming during start up, shifter is locked and security flashes.

I will double check my connections to the starter and btsi fuse. The car lasted about 3 weeks without the battery, could a simple vats reset fix it? Anyone know the procedure for a 00 gtp?

Really frusted here, any suggestions would be nice.

Take a look down at the front most bolt on the transmission to engine. Yes, that one with the stud. There should be a battery cable and two black wired loops (grounds) bolted on with a 15mm nut.

On the starter, you should have the battery cable and a single loop with two wires going to it. Then the one purple soleniod wire going to the 8mm nut.

I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Yep their all hooked up. I will double check to see if their nice and tight. I found what seems to be the vats reset, The whole 10 mins in on position and then back, I will also try this.

If all fails then the pcm will be going out to get vats tuned out.

Any help here would be great.

So basically, car sat for 4 weeks with bat disconnected during a tranny swap. Got the new tranny installed everything hooked up and put the key in and no crank. I do not hear the fuel pump priming. Security flashes after attempting to start.

    Does the engine turn over?
Did you hook up the PNP switch, it's by the back of the trans right under the brake booster?

I'm actually not thinking security yet...
Your starter soleniod wiring passes through the pnp. If you missed that .....it's really back there in the driverside corner...although under the shift lever that goes into the trans.....

It does not turn over, nothing. Turn the key and I hear a relay click (Or something similar) and then just have the security flash over and over.

I did hook up the two connectors to that sensor. If its the one under the shifter linkage.

    Yeah, that's the one.
Did you unhook the pcm when doing the trans?

Reason I'm not sure it's security is because most of these cars and I know 02 is this way.. they'll prime the fuel pump, start and die when the pump isn't turned on the for the theft.

Try jumping the starter with a screw driver...from the hot battery cable to the purple starter soleniod wire. The engine should crank over.

Well I forgot to hook up the ground...

Car now works and starts but for some reason the security light flashes over and over until a certain amount of time before turning off. Car runs great though.

One thign that I noticed is that the Tach is no longer working. Gonna check the fuses but any suggestions?

What is this process? I also just swapped my trans but I forgot to hookup the ground cable at the trans as pictured and tried to start it. Now it just blinks all the time.
