    Hey guys,

I have been a lurker for a while now but my searching has not netted results this time.

Car: 1997 GP GT 3.8 N/A 196xxx miles Super reliable... until now lol

Problem: So I am driving home from GF's house and RPMs hit 0, figured it stalled and went to restart in neutral while rolling. The starter screeched because it was still running. Then vehicle died 10 secs later. Muscle it into a nearby parking lot and try to restart... no RPMs on tach while cranking. I assume its CKPS. Replace that and nothing. Replace CamPS and nothing. So next thing is the ICM. Take it into Autozone to test but they don't have the right tester. Turns out I have lifetime warranty on the ICM because my Dad, the P.O, got one there when it went bad a few years back. So I do a warranty exchange and I put it in. Car starts right up YAY! I wake up to go work the next morning and just cranks with no RPMs again... So I go back to Autozone and exchange it for another one. Starts right up and idles for 15mins. Take it out for a spin and 15 mins later its dead again... It restarted and died 2 mins later about 10 times on my way back home.

So here is my ultimate question. Are those Duralast ICMs really Duracrap? Should I just keep warranting them until I get a good one or is something else at play here?

Thanks for any and all responses!

    -Matt

I'd check the condition of the ground near the ICM.
