    hey everyone,

i noticed the other day a noise coming from under the hood and upon further inspection i found it to be at the supercharger. right around where the snout bolts to the rotor housing.

the noise sounds kind of like a loose heat shield rattle or grinding noise, or a bearing scratching noise.

any help or suggestions would be good

its an m90 ported and modified for the ssm90 kit by zzp

    thanks

    Mike

If its a rattle sounds like a bad coupler. Grinding sounds more like bad bearings.

It's more than likely your coupler.

Take the belt off and see if you can feel any play while rotation the pulley, if so its probably the coupler. I am not sure what zzp has for a warranty on their blowers.

I have that same problem only my coupler is brand new and still good. so I took the blower apart and found that the rotors had alot of play (i could jiggle them in their rotor pack) meaning that the rotor pack bearings were bad. Also found that I had a bad snout bearing.
