Hey everyone, Ive got a 98 GTP with 89k miles on it. Took it up to the dealer to get a recall done on it. Had them check out a noise when the car is idling. They are telling me that the bearings are going bad. Is there a noticeable difference between the sound of bad bearings and the sound of just the coupler going bad. The sound happens at idle then when i hit the gas its still there until it gets into boost. I cant tell at that point if it just goes away or is just muted by the whine. Havent had time to take the belt off the s/c and try to spin it, will probably get to it tonight. Just wanted to find out if anyone knew of specific different sounds that would be made. It is like a metal on metal sound, could the rotors be hitting each other and scraping? I will probably just do a rebuild on the charger, but if its just the coupler then i will just do it. Thanks everyone
Also where can I find out more info on Branson this year? Is there a website?
