Crossover pipe has to have a flex if its using a vband on both sides as this is what allows the pipe to slide in and be pulled tight. If it can't do this then your essentially torquing the manifolds off the head to close the gap. If you don't have a flex in the crossover, the design is flawed as you'd have to have the crossover pipe perfect and thats assuming the SSAC ARE AN EXACT COPY which we all know is not true.

First, the crossover isnt going to be dual vband. Its gonna have a v band at the rear and retain the donut flange seal as i have seen now problem with the sealing capabilities. Second, each unit is mocked up on the engine to ensure fitment, so that wont be an issue.

I've been reading a lot of threads about headers considering which one to buy. How close are you to having pics to post? I might be interested if they turn out nice.

Eh, i think with the recent find of the ebay headers that bolt in for $200 this just isnt a possibility any more. It would have been nice but there is just no way i can compete with it.

i think we'll have to see how these "speed daddy" and "dna" ones fit. they may have flaws that you may be able to mod those and still sell them cheaper than $425 or w/e it was before. so far i havent seen them installed in the car. blue has them on an engine, but im waitin to see them on a car.

people have no problems with the slp and ssac ones as far as a restriction goes. so you were talkin about modding the pacesetters then?

No...he IS talking about the DP in the SSAC's, SLP's, or Speed Daddy headers for less than $200.00 on EBay. My Modified Pacesetters don't have a flange or a bend in the downpipe like those do. They look like a typical 3" downpipe.

knowing how i am, i'd f it up. pace setters hug pretty close..hell, for the price of the headers, i'd make the 1st section myself(i think thats been covered).

Yea on those speed daddy ones the only thing that really needs fixed is the downpipe.
