Ill just **** something up lols.
lol just take some sanding flapper wheels and just smooth the sides out you can't really mess anything up. It's worth a try.
So I thought I was gonna get a plog and just be done exhaust wise, all used headers had issues or were to costly.. and speed daddy headers were out of stock.. BUT THEN this happened
HEADER - STAINLESS STEEL - 97-03 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX 3.8L V6 IN STOCK
so i went to ebay and found this
STAINLESS SS RACING MANIFOLD HEADER/EXHAUST GRAND PRIX/GTP/REGAL/IMPALA 3.8L V6 | eBay
you guys got me all worried about blowing my engine and that was always in the back of my mind, so i bought the headers lol.
I am super broke now so the topswap probably wont be installed till mid-late summer, still need 1 coil back, idler pulley, gasket kit, fluids. incar tune from overkill. but me and my brother are gonna install the headers when I get them, save mpg(long commute to work) and less to do when i do the topswap
Coil packs are the same.
same as what?
You said you need 1 coil pack they are the same between the motors.
SWEET lol 1 thing off the list lol.
says delivery for headers are may 2nd! cant wait, I can install these headers on my n/a car right? it says these headers are for supercharged car only but I want to put them on before my topswap because it might be awhile before I can do my topswap.
You can now or you can wait. The na doesn't need the extra flow but it runs fine. Mind did. Depends how much work you want to be doing on topswap day.

Might as well put them on and sell your dp for more go fast parts.
I would wait on putting the headers on until you top swap it. You'll end up having to take them off again to swap the heads.
Just got done talking to my mechanic(my cousin, free labour lol) and he says he will do the headers same time as top swap, he just going to leave the old manifolds on the n/a heads and then setup the headers, says wont add much time to the top swap install. The best thing is that he said he can buy to topend gasket kit for $50.00 so that really cheapens the build.
I just have one question I forgot to ask him, can I reuse my stock manifold gaskets for the headers?
Edit: I felt bad for making him do free labour so called him up told him if he bought the gasket kit for me and did the topswap and header install I would give him my Nintendo Wii, has everything imaginable for it and is hacked so all games are on a hardrive with 90 games already on it. roughly $400 I have invested into it all, he agreed. so look like the topswap will happen very soon!

The stock gaskets are the best to use. Clean them up good, done!! Sounds like it's about to be fun times in someone's garage!!! LOL
Ya I cant wait to get this completed!
I bought the downpipe used 2 years ago and attached it to a ubend delete my cousin made up for me, so its probably not that pretty anymore lol, doubt I would get much for it.
I want to take my hvIII out and sell it but I am tuned for it and don't think it would not be a good idea to take it out.
Like I said I am no mechanic, I just got a incar tune with the hvIII in the car so i thought running that tune without the hv3 might hurt my car.
would it be safe to take the hvIII out and run that tune?
