Put some zip ties on it and spray it with carb cleaner for leaks...

If you still have leaks, you need some smaller I.D. tubing/vac line for both sections...

Where about in NOLA are you? I pass through there every so often for work (Baton Rouge)...

Well I'm happy to see it's getting the life it deserves. No matter how hard I tried to get the mods to make much more power, funds always had to go into something else.

your wasting your time, get it scanned one way or another. the beauty of obd2 is you get a fault code. 95% of the time you follow the code and its fixed. but your keep side stepping the most important part of any diagnosing. rule one, scan the car.

I researched the symptoms of a bad vehicle speed sensor and it says speedometer needle not working and gear shifting problems and that's the problems that I'm having

The vehicle speed sensor connector wires are bare and have nothing covering them some of the strands are cut also so I think that's why my car wasn't shifting gears. And would that cause it to shut down while I'm driving

well any bare wires are sign of bad things. dont think its the cause of stalling tho. once again, get it scanned if you want to fix it.
