I know the impala will have either 3.05 or 3.29 gears. I thimk fr9 is the 3.29 ratio. Keep in mind youll need to use your original neutral safety switch

My trans is a 3.05 and so is the salvage yard tranny, also, exact year transmission, thank you for the neutral switch tip.

Had to do it on mi ne as 2000-05 monte/impalas have internal switches
