Nice...Same thing happend to me with a dodge charger police package(knew the cop).....I thought he was going to thrash me....but I kept up with him...when we shut down at 55 mph (speed limit), i was at his back door.....I lost but was happy with the outcome....From what I read, the police package is alot heavier....0-60 in 6.0sec.

I think some of you need to rethink the "LT1's are junk" idea, my LT1 runs mid to low 13's with only bolt-ons (LT's,catback, CAI, ect.), in street trim. Don't get me wrong I love my GTP, and it is a quick car, but dollar to dollar for mods, it wouldn't hold a candle to an LT1.

I've seen many street driven/legal LT1 cars that put well over 700 rwhp down on the dyno. This is at far less cost than it would take to put an L67 or L32 car into the same hp territory.

Not hatin' on the Prix's, like I said I love mine, but the LT1 engine is definately not junk, and shouldn't be underestimated.

My gp ran around a 13.7 ...with a little ice on the SC . I have driven a LT1 car MOST LT1 cars are doooggggsssssss. With any LS or LT whatever you wanna call it LSX! motor throw 500 down on it and you got a nice quick car! But as far as everything else most LT1s are not "high and mighty" not like the LS1 that replaced them.

EDIT: And that is MY opinion!!! and of course we all know how opinions go

Not knocking you as this could go all day, but compared to the options the L67 has and the platform it is in...the LT1 is fail in my book...I've toasted many LT1's and the only one I have seen worthwhile was a I/E/H/Cam one at the track I lost to like maybe a half a second... Now don't get me wrong, I am sure with enough money you could build a nasty one, but stock vs. stock the LT1 wins...take about a grand in bolt-ons and bye bye as boost is the replacement for displacement and especially if it was a top swapped car...look out

Hate to kill ya here Jess, but IMO all I have ever heard about icing the blower is bad news with these cars....and that 13.7 was a guess

Yep 13.7 was a guess best time was 8.7 in the 1/8. If you do the math to calculate it then it would be around the 13.6 to 13.7. But im not worried about it. LT1 are dogs lmao And I have spanked up on 2 LT1 ta's one on the road and one at the track. So thats why I say they are dogs! Cause if a stock v6 can beat them and they have some bolt ons then they arent "god" now again LS1 IMO is a "god" motor! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my camaro!!! But hey you guys smell that?

EDIT: Also most LT1 down this area are driven by younger kids who flogg they crap outta them! So I guess it depends on the history/upbringing the LT1 had.

That's why the world's fastest street legal F-body uses an LT1 runnin' 8's right?
