Like I said I love the power and performance of my L32, but putting down an engine with out proper facts to back up the claims is just ignorance.
lmao so everyone who has a opinion is ignorant? Okay...so you want facts..Fact is the LT1 was REPLACED by the LS1. So...if it was "that good" it would still be around. Again dont get on a forum and expect everyone to see what you see and then to call people names! Thats rude and shows you have no respect for people. Im a nice person and I respect everyones point of view. But when people call names it crosses the line. So think about what you said and how stupid you just made yourself look. The FACT is its a opinion. There is a CRAP load of people who HATE our cars! They say they are slow and "we" are stupid for having a FWD! Does that mean EVERY grand prix is slow and EVERYONE is stupid? NO! It means people have there own opinion. And comparing the LT1's I have BEAT not only in the Grand Prix but my Camaro and comparing the LT1s that I have driven THEY ARE DOGS!

EDIT: OPTI-SPARK FTL! lmao and for ****s and giggles I ran 13.1 in my ls1 STOCK and with the bolt ons you listed I had those on my car and I ran 12.6. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO again! IMO LT1s are dogs

i wouldnt say there junk, I can kinda back PH04GTP up on this. they were a Great engine at the time, just so happens to be something better invented at the time. for example, tapes didnt used the be junk, they were the next best thing over 8-trak. now they're considered junk cause everyone uses CD's, and even those are fading because of the Ipod thing going on. they're note the best engines but defently not junk.

No, opinions don't make a person igonorant and I'm sorry you took it that way. Basing an opinion on heresay and and not factual data does. Yes, the LT1 was replaced by the LS1, and where do you think they developed the technology for the Gen III small block? Yep, the Gen II and Gen I platforms that came before them. You say if the LT1 was that good it would still be around, LMK when you find an engine that any car manufacturer has used for almost 20 years. Fact of the matter is with that, is people like the latest and greatest, and thats why car manufacturers are always on the cutting edge of new technology and replace the powertrains on the new models every few years. Again I'm sorry you thought I was pointing fingers or calling names, there is just to many people out there who don't have the factual data to back up their opinions. Maybe I'll take both my cars to track and get a good side by side comparo.

Now back to more good kill stories!

LMAO, You can not have "facts" on a opinion like that. You can drive my car and say its slow and I drive it and say its fast. The only FACT you have is that YOU didn't FEEL the "speed". So to argue the fact that I believe LT1s are dogs and say I need facts...thats stupid! Its my opinion! Im not saying the lt1 is a v6 lmao and then of course you can show me facts. Again my opinion comes from racings against them and driving them. So thats the only "facts" I have. And when you say "ignorant" and your talking about the people who are saying the LT1 are junk then yes...you are pointing the finger to me. Of course your going to defend them because you own one and seem to like your car and more power to you! But from the run ins I have had with them they are dogs. And while we are on this have you done any more mods to your ta?

I've got a 94 Z not a TA, but same car basically. Timeslips and dynosheets would be good factual data to start with, but I digress. The Z currently has 1 3/4" Longtube Headers going back to an 3"off-road y pipe, catless, SLP Loudmouth catback, K&N CAI, 160 deg. thermo, custom tune, C5 Z06 brakes, subframe connectors, strut tower brace, and some apperance mods for good measure.

I'd like to do some mods to the GTP, but my wife drives it too, so it has to still have all the same driveability as it does now. Been thinking about the TDC FWI, lower temp. thermostat, and the 3" DP, and possibly a tune, but, like I said I'd have to consult my other half first.

Haven't had it to the track since 05'. But dynoed a little over 280 rwhp, and 310 rwtq with the tune. These cars run pig rich once the LT's are put on, like 11 to 1 AFR, at WOT. So the tune really helped lean it back out a bit.
