The GT-R and the BMW bring me to tears. I think plastidip is ugly and dumb, but if I'm gonna have to look at it, lets get some of these custom colors around here huh? I'm tired of seeing "let me paint some random thing black". Where did the creativity go??

Everyone is entitled to there opinions of the product but you can't deny the fact that it is making waves in the car world. It's cheap, Reversible and a quick way to get a new look without spending tons of money on a paint job or powdercoating your rims. I saw a guy a work with a matte white plastidipped Maserati. He said the same, It's cheap and it's reversible so that's why I love it.

I don't mind the stuff on rims and plastic panels (i've used it on my deflector and windshield wipers with success). It bother me when I see pricey automobiles with it all over.

I'm thinking of doing this on my VFR rims because they look bad, the PO stored the bike outside for a few years.
Rims are OEM black, some black or gunmetal plastip would lok a lot better. Then when I'm due for new tires I could peel it off an get them a proper powder coat.
But on the flip side, seeing all these decent looking cars with black rims is lame, and screams "I'm 16-18 years old!".
A car with nice clean factory rims > plastip.

Yeah I'm leaning towards gunmetal with red stripe around the lip.
Waiting for winter to be over. The wheel gap on my GP looks crazy bad at this angle.
