I dont know about you, but i dont have $105 to spend. This setup works just as well and costs under half the price. (Prices acquired from Advanced Auto. Was just there looking at all this stuff less than 4 hours ago. There is no Pep Boys anywhere near here and i refuse to shop at Napa.)
He's telling you to get the aluminum bends not the KIT the aluminum bends are no more than 20 bucks. The couplers are pricey imo at 15 bucks..

this how to is for the 97-03. the maf is in the TB.

for 04 up, you do the same thing, but put the maf and its tube at the end clamped to the new cone air filter.

I just did this on my 04 tonight, I used two couplers, one to connect throttle body to MAF and one from MAF to the pvc. Here's a pic of how GrandPrix06GT did it, and I did the same.

Just need to figure out how to get the IAT sensor in there.

Your MAF and IAT are all housed in the same unit.

Here is the K&N pdf installation with plenty of pics and descriptions. Just duplicate the parts from the hardware store.

That's not a sensor that is your evap hose which needs yo be hooked back up to the intake tract pre-maf. Just drill a hole in the rubber coupler and put it in there.

Yeah just drill a hole for it between the first maf n throttle body..middle of the coupler because you want the lips to seal on both sides n to be able to tighten them down. I did it just after I took the pics..although a few people said it didn't matter anyways. E tween the two silver clamps there.

Out of curiosity, what's in the stock air box besides just a filter? I heard it's a sound muffling box so there must be something other than just a filter, right? Like sound barrier walls or something.

    The PCM.

Those ridges in the intake tubing are baffles for the air aswell.

I was wondering, would a hot glue gun be good enough to use to seal the IAT into the PVC pipe if I was to just drill a hole and not use a grommet?
