My dad just bought an 01 ford ranger because my brother was a dip **** and hit a bridge wall with it. after he side swiped it the steering wheel has to be turned to the left to get it to go strait and the left turn signal doesn't work. Only reason I'm asking is I didn't want to get on a ford site and my dad bought it from the kid that owned it so he wouldn't have to dump 3k into a 3k truck so he just bought it. is it something simple like get it realigned or is it harder then that. I'm sorry if this isn't the right place to put this but it seemed most appropriate at the time

You need a special tool. It's called an alignment rack. Unfortunately, you would need to take out a second mortgage on the house to buy one.

you can do an alignment by hand if you have a couple of very true boards and some string. however, you'll never be near as accurate as an alignment rack.

    Do-It-Yourself Alignment

Here's some info if you really want to do it yourself.
Its not really worth it if your just trying to save a buck, but only if its something you want to make sure is really right with your car.
