So after work, I turned on my heated seat, and after a 10 or so minutes, I turned it off, since my butt wasn't cold anymore. I noticed a little later, that my seat was still hot. The light for low on the switch turned off, when I turned off the switch. When I got home, the seat was still hot, but I had my car shut off, thinking it would at least shut it off.

So when I went to check on my car this morning, I noticed, I had no interior lights, no door chime, with the key in the ignition and turned on my lights, and nothing. Put on the charger, and the door chime started going off again. So I'm assuming, that the heated seats didn't shut off when the car was off, and drained my battery.

I pulled the fuse, which looks good, but I was wondering, would the switch have become bad, and need to replace it, and how would I go about doing that, or could there be something else wrong, like the heater Control module.

I would check the wiring and replace the switch. The panel should just pop off and the switch has a plug in the back of it and 2 clips to take it off the panel.

    Good luck!

That would be strange. When the key is pulled, the acc. power turns off. On my 2006 I don't even think they run from then engine is off so I would be checking into that issue for sure!

Yeah, I would thought so too, and in the past, I had the heated seats tuned on when the car was off, and it shut them off, and the car started up the next day, just fine.

I just pulled out my switch, and the wiring seems to be fine, from what I can tell. I guess tomorrow, I'll have to see if I can get a new switch.

Also, how much does a switch cost, if I were to get it though a dealership? I saw one on Ebay, with a switch and the plate, and it sold for $27

Here we go again, got the switch from Stunt0Rider, and was working fine, up until tonight. Had the switch set on low on my way home from work, then I noticed it starting to get hot. I shut it off and drove 5 or so miles, and it was still hot, like it was on High or something. When I got home, I unplugged the switch, and let my car sit for about an hour. I checked it again and my seat was hot. So I pulled the fuse a half hour ago, and now the seat is not heated anymore, and is about normal temperature.

I'm just wondering what you guys think could be wrong? I know the switch I got from Stunt0Rider was used, so there's a chance that it could fail. But why would my seat still be warm after an hour when the car is off? Only after the fuse is pulled, is it not heating anymore.

This person seems to have the same problem as me, so this control module could be causing my problems.
