Its not that hard to understand. I showed it to three people at work here and they understood. Ill try to rephrase.

People that cannot afford slicks, or are too afraid to use slicks, say they dont like them and are a waste of time. Phrases like "I want to know what my car runs on the street" is one of many that people use to avoid slicks.

Thats kind of like saying "Hey, Im gonna manually put a choke in my router so my internet is slower to see what kind of speed I run at."

Or

"I know garlic steak tastes awsome with some good ole A1 steak sauce, but I want to eat the entire thing without it to see if I can like it without the sauce."

Even better.

"I want to know what Xbox360 looks like without HDMI cables even though I have them. Honey, grab the components."

Why not put on an old supercharger belt, old spark plugs, wires you found in the garbage, and slash your tires so you can see what your car runs when it needs a tune up and your car was vandalized. Or add 10 bricks in the trunk so you know exactly how fast you are on the way home from Jewel.

Fact: You are never going to simulate the street on a legit 1/4 mile race track. The surfaces are totally different, a track is flat, no debris, the list goes on.
