I agree with this statement 100%!!! I thought I was the only one who thought this, at least in the GP world. There used to be a guy here years ago with a GTP he would talk alot of **** and call his car a "13 sec street car" but he always had tons of track prep done to it such as pressure adjustments, 100+ octane and a smaller pulley, gas tank damn near empty for each pass... I even see him put some VHT stuff on his tires and even at one point he gutted the damn car. I thought it was quite hilarious honestly.

Maybe i'm an idiot but everytime i've ran a car at the track, its had 1/2-full tank of gas, pump gas, spare/jack, tool box, and I don't touch the tires. Only thing i will do is ice the S/C when I get there from a long drive, but once I get to staging lanes and wait it back warm (before being ICed obviously). I want to be able to say a time and that what it really runs on the street. Thats why i'm hesitating on getting slicks, I wanna find a sticky street tire I can always run on the car. So far i'm not finding anything good enough though. So I may have to cheat a little.
