That's how I had to chop my fender well up for my 4 inch diameter fender well intake. The filter was quite a bit bugger than the hole so it was alot of cutting

hate when the filter is bigger than the hole... the worst..

Well lesson learned on cheap (free) hid kits. The ballast for the other bulb went out now. Haha. O well halogen bulbs going back in until I get the retros
