    I so WISH I could of dropped an L67 in her. But that would of taken alot more $$$$ and time. lol

    Everything but the gaskets looks really good, which is awesome considering the leak it had. I can't wait to get everything cleaned up and see how much better she runs without all the smog crap gunked up in her.

    Cleaned up parts today for almost 7 hours. Cleaned the engine block, heads, and cams! Here is a picture of the block all yucky, and tipped on it's side..:





    Cleaned off, about to clean up where the gasket goes..












    Getting closer to putting it back together!

    Great job!
    I know the pain sweat and tears that goes into cleaning up motor/heads like that. The pain and tears, for me, usually comes after the rag slips and I cut 6" down my hand on those sharp cylinder edges. Then continuing to use carb choke cleaner

    Side note. Those heads look like they flow a lot. Too bad the 3800 never had a dohc version. But then again, something about the good ol' pushrods keeps them in the game still.

    ive seen that done with nissan truck heads on a small block buick motor. old school block with DOHC
