hose away. theres no reason to directly hose the alt, but it can get wet, aka splashed....... and you dont have a distributor.

all the plugs are weather tight. de grease, and hose it down. if you got a air compressor blow it down when done, if not drive it dry.

I've never covered anything, except my air filter when cleaning my engine bay out.

dont forget to spray down under the engine first, and as much of the trans as you can. car ramps are nice to have for this.

Try to stay away from the coil packs and don't use a pressure washer. You can wrap the alternator in a plastic bag so it stays dry, and avoid the intake or just cover it.

I only use a pressure washer when I do mine, I work in a detail shop so I have access to an air compressor and other tools to get it nice and dry though

everything has weather tight plugs, hose it all at will. lol

pressure washer is fine, as long as your not tearing any wires up by getting to close. old cars you know. brittle wires.

If I could only count how many times I pressure washed my engine bay.

A clean engine is so much nicer to work on.

First time I cleaned mine I was a little apprehensive, so I wrapped some of the connectors with aluminum foil. Now I just hose away.
