I started putting water in it today, then I had a strong leak shooting water almost straight sideways.

Damn it. I must have missed a bolt, but maybe a part?

Right below the coil packs, icm, water pump outlet. It's not the actual water pump, but near the nozzle.

Around the #353 #355 area. 8 mm bolt hole I believe. Threadlocker and put it back together?

    Pic incoming...

There is a hole there in the block that goes into the water jackets, one of the bolts from the supercharger idler standoff goes in there on supercharged cars. Just use some rvt or thread sealer.

Got another one. Bah. Seems to be around the oil filter.

    Do #334 & #332 go into a water jacket?

It's not the elbows because I just changed those to aluminum.

the 4 long bolts for the water pump go into the water jacket. use thread sealant and make all 4 tight.

I'm positive it's not the WP, and I did threadseal everything.

Oh well, I'll look at it tomorrow.

Dude.. it's just a couple of bolts on the timing cover that you missed.

Rule of thumb, if you are unsure about things, take pics before you touch stuff from a million angles. Then you have a reference. If you are unsure of where bolts go...get cardboard etc and stick them into it and draw a poor picture of the item or label it. Basically make yourself a guide/map when you are learning. After a while..you'll know the bolts by just looking at them.

The bolts you are missing are 13mm heads, about 1.5" in length. ....and if you whine about pulling off the belt and res off ... I'll bish slap ya. Res is two 10mm wannabe nuts and then you just let it rest on the front of the engine (don't disconnect the hose) and the belt.. that's about 10 seconds, if it's not you need the practice ...so it becomes quick and easy. Our belts are a godsend compared to other cars.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

You can.. many do. Unfortunately some of us have done it so many times that it feels easy. If you'd like to hear the tricks/tips, holler.

I got that side all put together.

Now I can't get the EGR to Manifold bolted down and it's PISSING me off...
    WHY WOULD THEY DO THIS???

You mean the EGR tube to the lower manifold? I have a shallow 3/8 drive 10mm sears swivel socket that gets in there past the TB and exhaust manifold nicely. For future though, I'd suggest putting it back together before you put the upper manifold or TB on.

Honestly.. it's not why would they do it, it's... that you just aren't up to speed on the best order of assembly. Much swearing leads to reordering a procedure for the next time.

i used a 6 inch extension and a socket, with the tb and cross over on.

wiggle the end to one side or something, or your using the wrong bolt.
