so my tranny is acting up in my gt, got the t/c lock up solenoid stuck on so it shifts like **** and other things are going wrong with it so i found a gtp as a parts car. doing the l67 swap and i dropped everything out the bottom and doing so, i forgot to unplug the harness going into the trans and it bent a few pins when i lifted the car. so i have two questions,
    a. can i repace that plug or should i just fix the pins? i dont wanna take the tranny apart to find out i cant replace it
    b. it was a pain in the ass dropping the whole cradle so is it easier to pull everything out the top and do the trans and engine come out seperately?

cant upload the pic cause its too big but its the last pic in my facebook album:

I've never pulled a motor and trans together... I have always taken the motor out the top and the trans out the side/bottomish area. As for that harness I actually have one out a 98 gtp trans that I blew up. If you wanna go through the trouble of replacing it. Has most if not all the solenoids still plugged in... Make me an offer if you want it.

Sit the trans on a table. If you pull the side cover the electrical harness is very easy to replace. Be gentle when pulling the cover off to save the side cover gasket.

Very easy to do. When you pull the side cover, it's right there.

Thanks, but that's not a money shot. The four bottom bolts are torx. You should put the bit in them and give each a good whack to break them free from the aluminum/steel fusing that happens. Then when you round one out, take your small chisel and make a mark straight down. Then use that mark as a grip to tap it around counter clockwise and break it free. There's almost always one.

There's the money shot. It is helpful having a bracket for the engine stand.
